9Verified guest“The personal welcome was exceptional – the owner met me with tea and homemade cookies on arrival, like being invited into a family home.”
9Verified guest“Everything from check-in to the friendly staff and well-kept rooms was great. Breakfast was excellent – classic Irish and other options, with fruit on offer. The location is slightly out of the way, but I planned for it. Close to the waterfront, with a DART station nearby – about €2.50 to the centre.”
9Verified guest“We prefer small hotels and this one was cosy and homely, with a real fireplace and a beautiful dining room. It's in a quiet, peaceful area, away from noisy pubs but close to transport stops. You can walk into town if you like walking and the weather cooperates. The rooms were warm – we'd read that Irish hotels can be cold, but no issue here. Hot water was plentiful. Separate taps took a bit of getting used to, but the shower was fine. Breakfasts were delicious – continental or traditional Irish, with plenty of baked goods, fresh fruit and berries. The dining room overlooks a small garden. Staff were friendly, answered all our questions, and gave us a map with nearby transport stops and dining suggestions on arrival.”
9Verified guest“The staff were very accommodating and the facilities were both comfortable and elegant. One of the best hotels I've stayed in – I would definitely return to Dublin for this place.”
9Verified guest“The owners are lovely – Anne is humorous, positive, and welcoming. We had to reschedule due to a missed flight and Anne generously offered a compensatory night after our stay. The area is green and quiet, with walking and running paths near the water. The house is old and floors creak, so expect some noise in the morning. Everything is clean and homely. Complimentary water daily, and on arrival fresh tea with milk and homemade cookies. Breakfast was the best we had in 7 days across 4 Irish hotels – delicious yogurt, fresh strawberries and blueberries, freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries, eggs, porridge, pancakes. Served in a lovely hall overlooking the garden, with tables and benches outside. The hotel is well-located: a 7-minute walk to the railway station, which gets you to the city centre in 4 stops. The DART runs frequently. Taxi to the airport takes 20–25 minutes and costs €30–35. I'd happily stay here again.”
9Verified guest“Warm welcome from the owner with helpful tips on travel and restaurants. Ideal for getting to the city centre. Rooms are very pleasant and spacious.”
